Essex Roller Shutters offer a comprehensive range of doors, shutters,
grilles and gates designed and manufactured to provide an effective security
and environmental solution for all types of educational premises such as
Schools, Colleges, Universities and Leisure Centres. Our products are generally
bespoke to your requirements, they are purpose made to suit your opening
dimensions and fully guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months.

Roller Shutter Doors

Fire Resisting Roller Shutters
|
|
Roller Shutter Doors are constructed from extruded double-skin aluminium slats
and are an ideal security barrier where vision or ventilation is not required.
They are generally operated electrically via either a 240v single-phase
electric motor unit with a manual override mechanism for use in the event of
power failure. Various control, actuation and safety systems to control the
doors and provide a safer environment. In certain cases, manual operation is
still available by self coiling (push up/pull down). They are available
Polyester Powder Coated White or Dark Brown as standard or in a standard/stock
BS4800 or RAL range colour at an extra cost. |

Fire Resisting Roller Shutters (tested assessed up to 2 Hours to BS 476 Part
22) are an excellent choice for installation between a kitchen servery and the
dining area and have been designed specifically with this type of environment
in mind. In comparison with traditional Fire Shutters, they are unobtrusive due
to their concealed motor unit and comparatively small box housing. They are
constructed using a single-skin traditional steel slat and are operated
electrically via either a 240v single-phase electric motor unit to provide a
controlled descent in the event of fire. A manual override mechanism and
Battery Back-up for use when power fails is fitted as standard. Connection to
an existing Fire Alarm or Smoke/Heat detector system to enable automatic
closure is made possible through our standard Control Panel. Audio/Visual
Warning Systems to inform imminent closure of a Fire Shutter to personnel
within the vicinity are also available at an additional cost. The standard
finish is galvanised with Polyester Powder Coat paint finish in a
standard/stock BS4800 or RAL range colour available at an extra cost. To
compliment our range of Fire Resisting Roller Shutters, we are also able to
supply and install a range of Flexible Fire and Smoke Curtains which are also
tested assessed up to 2 Hours to BS 476 Part 22 (fire) and BS7346 Part 3 (for
smoke). |

Collapsible Lattice Gates

Sun Awnings
|
|
Collapsible Lattice Gates are an extremely versatile security product which
when open can be very unobtrusive. These have proved a popular and effective
means of protection for particularly vulnerable areas containing valuable
equipment such as doors and windows to ICT Suites and Gymnasiums. Primarily
designed for use where confined headroom within the building prevents the use
of conventional Roller Shutter Doors, they provide staff and students with a
high level of visibility when locked whilst still protecting the equipment from
theft. They are manufactured from purpose made galvanised steel sections
arranged vertically and diagonally to create a lattice work pattern assembly.
The Gate assemblies run on heavy duty Nylon wheels within a 'W' section
galvanised steel fixed top and bottom track. The gates are fitted with a 7-pin
tubular key operated lock and finished in Polyester Powder Coat paint in a
stock colour as standard. At extra costs, the gates can incorporate Lift-up
Bottom Tracks (useful when installed to a doorway or corridor to prevent
tripping), a Swivel-Aside facility (to swivel the bunch/es clear of the opening
where side-room is available) and Adams-Rite hook-bolt dead locks. If required,
we are able to offer an alternative range of Collapsible Lattice Gates to LPS
1175 - SR3. |

Children and students generally enjoy being outside with their friends but also
need protection from harmful UV rays. Sun Awnings are an ideal and effective
solution, adding shade, shelter and comfort which in turn helps improve the
environment, atmosphere and appearance of the playground. They also prevent
glare/reflections from the glass and fading of carpets and furnishings behind
the glass. Available in a wide choice of fabric designs in both solid colours
or striped, the fabric is specially manufactured and coloured throughout and
carries a five year guarantee against solar fading and deformation. A choice of
optional front valance designs is also available to enhance the Awnings. In
most cases they are operated electrically via a 240v single-phase electric
motor with an extensive range of sun and wind controls, ensuring maximum
performance for your Awning. Integration into home automation can often be
achieved allowing Sun Awnings and Roller Shutters to be controlled from a
single hand held control. Manual operation is also available where required.
All of the profiles used in the manufacture of our Awnings are designed and
tested to TUV standards to withstand wind loadings of up to 75mph. All profiles
are fully finished in polyester powder coated white and brown with the option
of a colour of your choice. An integral Water Drainage Gutter is included to
help prevent unnecessary wear and tear/damage to the Awning. |
